Ainsi, j’ai le plaisir de vous annoncer que David Farley Chevrier prendra en charge le Programme d’Escrime Traditionnelle chez Escrime Mont-Royal, effectif le 1er juin 2018. En 1718 on le nommerait Prévost de Salle!
Cela fait presque trois ans que je travail ardûment avec David sur les principes d’escrime à l’épée de gentilhomme du 17ième siècle et l’implantation de ce programme chez EMR; c’est pour ces raisons que je crois qu’il est la personne idéal pour mener à bien la gestion du groupe en mon absence. David sera responsable de l’implantation et application des règles de Salle, de la conduite sécuritaire du groupe en escrime libre et de la formation initiale de tout nouveau membre ou visiteur au groupe. Je compte sur votre éthique habituelle pour lui porter le respect et le support qu’il mérite dans ses nouvelles tâches.
Pour ma part, je continuerai à encadrer la formation des membres à distance en maintenant une communication continue avec David et en offrant des ateliers et leçons individuelles de façon périodique lorsque je visiterai Montréal. À cet effet, si vous désirez participer aux ateliers, ou recevoir une leçon d’escrime, s’il vous plaît aviser David afin qu’il puisse coordonner avec moi.

To this, I am proud to announce that David Farley Chevrier will assume the management of the Traditional Fencing Program at Escrime Mont Royal, effective June 1st 2018. In 1718 he would be named "Prévost de Salle"!
It’s been almost three years that I have been working closely with David, studying the principles of Smallsword and implementing this program at EMR. For these reasons I believe he is the ideal person to manage the group in my absence. David will be responsible for the implementation and application of Salle rules, for the safe conduct of free fencing, and initial training and instruction of any new member or visitor to the group. I am counting on your irreproachable ethics to show him the utmost respect and support in his new tasks.
As for me, I will be maintaining a long distance support and supervision of your training through continuous communication with David and by offering periodic workshops and/or individual lessons when I come visit Montreal. For this, if you wish to participate to such workshops or take part in an individual lesson, simply advise David who will then coordinate with me.
