Attention all club Members!
We are considering offering a Standard First Aid Course at the Club.
This 2 day course covers general first aid skills (treating injuries such as: cuts, sprains, burns, etc.), CPR level C (adult, child, infant) and AED (Automated external defibrillation), with certification valid for 3 years. We have the possibility to hold this course at the end of May (23/24 or 30/31) for anyone who would like to get ready for the summer. EMR will cover the majority of the cost (normally $125) so that we can offer this class to our members for $45 per person.
Whether you hope to add to your resume for a summer job; to have that extra security for your vacation; or just to be prepared for any accident at work, home or play; we think this is a great opportunity for all our members.
If you're interest, we require a minimum number of people to offer this course, and we need to make a decision by April 30, 2015. Please email us, call or let John know in person, as soon as possible, if you would like to take this class now (before the summer), or if you would prefer a course in the fall.
As always, your input is appreciated.
UPDATE: May 1, 2015
As requested by the majority of interested members, we have schedule a 2 day First Aid course with St-John's Ambulance over two weekends (Sunday, May 24, 2015 and Saturday, May 30, 2015). Over the next few days, we will be confirming the dates with everyone who expressed interest. If any other members are interested there is still room, so let us know ASAP.
UPDATE: May 13, 2015
Any attendees interested in an additional First Aid Manual should let us know by Thursday, May 15, 2015. There is one manual included in the course, but if you wish to purchase additional manuals (French or English) on the day of the course, we will preorder them for you ($17 plus tax).
The first aid course will be held, this Sunday May 24 , 9am to 5pm and next Saturday May 30, 9am to 5pm.
